What the status line says

With 1 B6 page (landscape) in the list, FitPrint's status line reads exactly "1 item · 1 A5 sheet". Add one more and it reads "2 items · 2 A5 sheets": the extra item starts a new sheet rather than shrinking anything.

How to lay this out in FitPrint

Drag your files in. Open FitPrint and drag your B6 page (landscape) files onto the window. Each file appears in the list with its size in the caption.
Choose the A5 sheet. Click A5 in the sheet preset grid. FitPrint then lays the items out on a 148 x 210 mm sheet.
Keep scaling on Original size. At the default 5 mm gap and 5 mm side margin, this B6 page (landscape) does not fit inside the usable area of the A5 sheet, so Original size scales it down to 84.3 percent (148.35 x 105.36 mm) to fit. It is never cropped or split across sheets.
